I am an abstract painter whose practice is based on the format of the ‘Series’, where a particular theme, idea, palette, or gesture is resolved and exhausted over the course of many canvases. I use a spectrum of warm colours alongside a selection of cold ones. Each canvas represents a carefully, considered manifestation of the element in question, which, when viewed alongside its sister canvas, shows my laboured pursuit and exploration of it. This is part of the 'Profile' series.

About the artist
