Archivaldo Rozas was born in Concepción, Chile and studied painting and engraving at the School of Fine Arts in Viña del Mar. From 1973 onward, he has participated in various juried shows, exhibitions, and biennials around the world, including various Chilean and Latin-American retrospectives. Upon immigrating to Canada in 1990, he returned to abstract and abstract-expressionist painting, and has been working within these forms since. His works can be found in various public and private collections around the world, including the National Museum of Art in Chile.
